Sustainable Agriculture Technology for Small Farms
Design Systems I UI
2025

Customer
Terrava Farms, an agricultural technology company supporting small-scale growers.
Customer
Terrava Farms was shipping new farm-monitoring features faster than its interface could keep up with, resulting in inconsistent components and duplicated design work across the product team.
The goal was a shared design language that could scale with the product roadmap.
Objective
Establish a comprehensive design system that unifies visual language across every Terrava product. The system needed to be flexible enough to support future farm-monitoring tools while remaining simple for growers in the field to use.

Approch
The work began with an audit of every existing screen to identify inconsistent patterns and redundant components. A shared token system for color, spacing, and typography was defined first, followed by a documented component library built in close collaboration with the engineering team to ensure real-world usability.
Solution
A modular component library and documented token system that lets designers and engineers build new farm-monitoring features consistently, cutting duplicated work and keeping the product visually unified as it grows.

New feature development slowed handoff friction considerably, and the product now maintains visual consistency across mobile and web without constant manual review from the design team.
